How would you describe yourself?: I would do anything to be availiable for anyone who needed me. I value my friendships, and spending my time investing in others. My personal faith in Christ is of the utmost importance to me. I was born premature. Although I am sensitive about how others sometimes see me, I have worked hard my whole life to better myself, and therefore I seek understanding and respect in a relationship. I do not see myself as delayed, but rather, overcompensated for.
How would you describe your ideal partner?: I am not pickey about my ideal partner. Understanding and patience are important for me, and to be believed in, and trusted. personal faith in Christ is the only limmitation I place a major emphasis upon. I desire physical, and spiritual intamacy, and absolute loyalty and encouragement. Open communication is nice to have. As a guy, if something is wrong, I may not catch on to it right away. I desire to find things out early on, and make fast resolutions. I wish to have a woman by my side who would not mind serving beside me at a homeless shelter, or in evangelism.
If you knew the world was going to end in 30 days, what would you do?: I would want to spend every last minute with those closest to me.
If you had 10 million dollars to spare, what would you do with it?: God and familly would come first. I would make sure that my familly was taken care of first, and set up for years down the road for college funds with the kids, start a buisness and make contributions towards christian ministries. I would put money away for familly retirement in a familly trust, and other investments. Should there arise medical problems in the futere, that money would again go towards taking care of my familly.
How often, and from whom do you ask advice?: I have learned over the years that descisions in haste are never the best descisions. All good things take time and patience.
What quality do you value most in the people of your gender?: I value most that as guys, we sort of all think alike in some ways... Communiocation there is comforatable and familliar.
What quality do you value most in the opposite sex?: Complexity, and ellusiveness, sensualness, and sensitivity.
What is a recent prominent event in your life, and how has it affected you?: I found out a few years ago that My mother has Parkinnson's disease. She is now the one who is dependant on me.
What is the best advice that you give to your children?: Do not be hasty. All good things take patience, growth, end effort to work out in one's life. The means never justify the end. Whatever one does today, they will not only have to sleep over it, but carry the consequences of bad choices their whole lives, making more bad choices on the way to compact consequences from past actions. We have all done that...I believe that a life not knowing God is not much of a life. We are only here for a short time. It is better to leave a legacy of love, friendship and service after ones death, than to live ones whole life wealthy, although I would not mend having that sort of money myself. Some of the best things in life are free.
What has produced the biggest impression (shock) on you?: Beyond God's guidence, I am responsible now for my own choices. I grew up without my father. because of his drug and alcohol problems. I want ratther to provide a safe and secure home for my familly one day
The last books that you read?: Some book about Body Language. It is nice to know what makes people comforatable, and how to better communicate.
What are your goals now?: My gaols to have a familly of my own have not changed much, just my career path, and getting to the means of marriage and familly.
Whom do you admire?: I admire people who give themselves selflesly to others. I believe then when we do charitible things for others, and lend our ear to listen, that we are doing so onto Christ.
Do you have a lot of friends?: I have many aquaintences, but only a handfull of people I would consider to be close. I have one brother.
What qualities do you dislike most in those of your gender?: I do not like the feeling of being in a room full of young women, ond one or two of the guys are hogging the attention either intentionally, or not. I am not a lady killer. I do not like being made to feel inferrior.
What qualities do you dislike most in the people of the opposite sex?: Vanity in niiveness. Just because somone does not fit their status quoe, does not mean that they should be ignored. If you set boundaries with people, then that is more mature than simply leading somone on, and then be embarrased when they take interrest.
What would you like to change in yourself?: I need to be self re-assured who I know I am, and have more confidence in light of that.
What are your weaknesses?: Sometimes I need a lot of time alone, so I sometimes isolate myself at a pool table, and my closest friends are foregotten about, sometimes.
What are your strengths ?: I will give anything and everything to go out of my way for a friend, or somone who needs my help. I have a heart of burdon towards the mentally handicapt, and the homeless.
How do friends view you?: My friends see me as having far more than meets the eye, intellegent, carring, truthful, outgoing, a little essentric, and a great cheff. But, they know my insecurrities.
How do acquaintances view you?: Similliar to my friends, but they do not understand my insecurrities, or seem to know, that I know, when they missunderstand me and my abillities, although they too would say I am a great cheff.
What are your favourite games?: Telephone pictionary. It is funny to see how people even in a small circle can take such a simple sentence, to picture, then back to sentence again, all the way around a circle, and come up with the most hillarious things in the end. It is very revealing of how people think.
Who are your favourite writers and poets?: John Steinback. He does a very nice job in showing human dignity and value through the cruelety and missunderstanding of others. Of Mice And Men is his best known.
What kinds of music do you like?: Theese days, it is classic rock on the radio. I listened to country for a while in high school, and before that was 80's metal. My favorite bands of that era was Motley Crue, Metallica, Poison, and AC/DC. I appriciate good modern christian music with accoustic guitars, but I have gone full circle. I have tried listening to rap, but I could never bring myself to appriciate it.
What is your favourite food?: I like most european foods, Grilled steak and other foods, gormet pizza, my own food espescially, sushi. I will try anything at least once...almost.
What are your favourite films?: Stand by me, 1983, directed by Rob Rhiner. It is a comming of age storry based upon a Stephen King novel, The Body.
What is your favourite fairy-tale?: The ones where I am the valliant knight comming to save the damsel in distress, and swep her off her feet to...club her over the head like a neandertal and drag her back to my cave to bear my children...Hahahahah....
What is your favourite activity or hobby?: Driving old logging roads up in the hills and mountains, and getting lost, to find my way out. I do like backroads also.
What is your dream job?: I dream more about being a husband and a father.
Tell us about your dream partner.: One who desires similliar things, and who would want to serve beside me out of a homeless shelter, or soup kitchen in sharing the love of Christ. But, having a little adventure in our love life is quite a nice thought. On a mountain top, and rolling around in the meadow in spring, at sea in a boat, on the beach, in the car overlooking a city...
Where do you want to live?: For the time being, it is here in Western Washington, in Olympia. There are people who need me here right now. I am willing to go wherever God leads, and hope that my wife would come with me. I could see myself doing christian work in Russia.
